Be quiet Ludo! Yes, he was tagged to post about what he was doing this time last year. Since he wasn't even alive then I thought I should take over this blog thing and tell you what we, my husbun Molly and I, were doing. Since we are really the most important things in this place.

I got the hooman to look in her picture files and she found some rather fetching photos of me from about this time back then we were still living in the house with that male human and life was good. There was no dog around to try and steal our carrots, run off with our hay and generally be a nuisance. Did you know that dogs are noisy? Noisy! They make this high pitched screeching sound, it's most unbecoming.

Of course in my infinite wisdom I found the only patch of sunlight.

And that's pretty much what life was like this time last year. I'm told I am supposed to pass this on to two of Ludo's friends. He wants to pass it onto some of his new friends, who are the Chronicle of Woos and Martha Basset. Both of them sounds like they'd probably want to chase or eat me so i'm going to pick two for myself the only other non-dog friend he's got and choose BaeBae and Carlton too, if he's around. I'm allowed to break the rules, I'm a rabbit.

So you lot, what were you doing this time last year, if you were alive and had a blog I think you're supposed to look at your blog archives.

Oh yes. I spied this the yesterday, or course the pup had to stick his nose in:

He thinks he is busy 'doing sympathies' for the hooman. Her Nan is poorly and she is sad about that. I think what's more important is she got birthday cake and we did not. I'm quite partial to hooman food.

True colours thursday

I is playing True colours thursday, hosted by Poopsie Blue.
Todays colour is pink. There be lots of pink in this house. For some reason Mum seem to gather pink round her. It not a colour she like loads but she say lots of things just comes in pink. So I had to limit my choosings.

There are some Mum pink stuffs. Not my stuffs. Though I wish all them teddies was! They is in a pink net so's I can't get them, like I did once. Then there is mum's favourite shoes which I is not allowed to touch. Then there is those other things. Mum collect pig money boxes. These don't look like the pigs I met once, but I guess I has to believe her. These be some of the ones with pink on them. It look like the room be pink as well but it something called lilac. It was like that when we moved in with grandpawents and we is not allowed to change it. I think I would have it black and white and grey and yellow so's I blend in better.

Then the better stuffs. Penny's pink collar and Penny's pink ball. But I has stole it. BOL!

I also found some pink on this thing what I killed. It was grandma's and she is not happy that I killed it. I thought it might be looking better without it nose. Sadly, it not look better at all, do it?

Letter game and tricky T-day

Reilly has gived us a game to play:

"You pick one (just one) buddy from your list and you give them a letter. They must then list and describe 5 things beginning with that letter."

The letter we has beed gived is L. For Ludo. Mum say that doesn't count though. I will list them in order of likings:

1. Liver; I just love liver, but I not allowed it in big amounts cos of something called vitamin A toxicity. If I ever sees that vitamin A I will ask it why it has to be in liver so much! In fact, Mum made some yummy liver clicker treats to use for tricky T-day.

2. Lickings; I do lots of lickings. I like giving kisses to mum to make her wake up. Even if it do make her say bleurgh! I has found if I sit on her she cannot get away. BOL! I also likes to lick crummies off peoples clothes and lick anything that might possibly at sometime had food on it. Just to make sure there be none left.

3. Looking; I likes to look at Mum lots. Especially when I is trying to get her to play with me. I is practicing 'the look' to make her do what I want.

4. Lying down; I tries to not do much lying down apart from when I is sleeping but sometimes when we is training I only likes to lie down and ever since Mum taughted me crawl I crawl and chase her slippers on her feet when I has had enough trainings and wants play instead.

5. Limping; This is what Auntie Penny has beed doing for ages and it no fun. She been getting a lot better lately though and has started springing about again. But that make me mad at her! So maybe it be best if she keep on limping?

It also my training t-day, as it a tuesday. Remember I was working on cross paws and shy? Well Mum finally made a video, she be so lazy, she should have done it thursday. She been watching the 'where's the remote' too much. Mum has decided we will not do two paw based tricks again cos she think I is getting confused. I not really, I too clever for that. I just like to do shy better than cross paw. Here I be.



This week we is working on two tricks I already know which be 'bang' and 'beg'. Mum be trying to get me to do a slightly different beg where I put my front paws up higher and she say 'hands up' instead. Then she want to say bang and pretend I is beed shot like in a robbery. I not think that a very nice thing. But she say it can be my party trick and I can pretend I be wearing a bullet proof vest if I likes. Here be the start of my 'this is a stick up' trick. She also extra lazy cos she trying to teach me to catch treats instead of bending to give them to me. She only be in her 20's which not old for people's is it? So she should not be having problems bending down yet. It be her barkday on saturday. I thinks I will get her a zimmer frame. BOL!



We is also doing some non trick training stuff for obedience. We is gonna be doing stuff mum calls 'back end awareness' and 'positioning'. I not really like my new school at all. There be too many dogs in a little place and I not like it when dogs be really crazy all around me, it make me shy for real. I likes when it our turn to do stuffs though, but I does already know everything we has done so far, so Mum say it hard for us because when they is showing the other dogs what to do we can't really copy as Mum thinks that will confuse me, so we just go to the end part.

I used to love sleeping next to my old Daddy but when I rolled over I would get stuck down the the gaps in the sofa. BOL!

For a dog named Jess

Now for some sad stuffs. Through a forum mum goes to we had beed following the story of a dog called Jess who has very sadly died. Jess was 12 and belonged to a couple of very old peoples who loved her very much. Every day Jess would go down to the shops with her person and she would wait outside the shop on her lead whilst he went in and got his couple of stuffs. Some horrid evil person tooked Jess and stole her away from the shop and her owner. He runned away with her. This was the point that me and Mum learned about Jess.

We felt very sad for Jess' owner and prayed for her safe return. We was hopeful cos who would want to steal an old dog, you can't get much money after all, but peoples can be strange and cruel. Jess' owner had some person that did not like him, he had the person make a complaint and say that Jess had been doing her toilets in the street and her owner been leaving it there and whoever that person is had left poo on Jess' owners door step. It wasn't Jess anyway as she had been away on holiday with her owners when she was accused of doing it.

Later we found out that poor old Jess had been found, she had gone to rainbow bridge and left her body behind in a thing called a dyke. There is CCTV of a man running through the town with her. Everyone that knew Jess is very sad indeed, she had lots of friends in her town. We wanted to share this story with you so that Jess will be remembered. Also Jess' owner want to remind people that it really not be safe for us doggies to be left alone where someone could want to do horrid things to us. It not Jess' Dad's fault, cos he is old and used to doing it and he not understand why someone would want to be hurting Jess. In the links I will put the people polices say that it was someone who knew their routine and took advantage of it. RIP Jess. It is such a sad thing that you not got to spend your last moments with your owners, like all dogs should.

There has beed so much Sad crossings of pups to rainbow bridge that Mum found this poem. She knows it is a famous poem, but she always find it help her when she be feeling sad. She made up this piccure, for every person who has lost a furbaby. For Jess, and Zoe, Destiny, poopoo the cat and everyone else who has sadly gone 'into the next room'.

Then to say thank you I spent some time working on a present for Mum.

What you think, you think it look good? It tooked me a long time to get all that white stuff out. But I know how much Mum like to pick up the white fluffy stuff. Otherwise she would not do it all the time and would just leave it on the floor right? Well, sometimes I just cannot work out peoples.
All she say was "This is how you repay me!" She did some laughings too. What kind of a thank you is that? Well, I thinks I has to say it back to Mum, cos that not a nice reward for all my hard efforts. I was wanting more spaggetti!

For Tricky T-day we is working on more velcro stuffs and on getting cross paws, shy and bang. I really likes to do shy all the time now! BOL!

Cross paws/shy

Hurro, my second tricky t-day.
Me and mum has beed working on cross and shy. I got a bit bored with them after a while so we has also been doing some works what I think is like being sticky. We is working on me being close to mum where ever she go. She call it something called positioning, but she is wrong, she is trying to make me be like that sticky velcro stuff. BOL!

Mum needs to charge her camera battery, you just cannot rely on these peoples. So there is no video. I has got some pics instead. But the camera is slow when it has low battery so she didn't get shy good. I likes to do shy better than cross paws.

Huruffruff!

Mum and me had great fun with the rabbit-dog game seeing everyones famous rabbits! They was all good ones and Mum learned some stuff too, like about the Chinese rabbit.

I has sent messages to the 7 guessers (and one for lucks). Thankies everyone for playing and helping the rabbit-dogs. Our favourite suggestion and winner of the extra treat, is being Morgan's Peter Rabbit. Don't he look a bad rabbit!

Did you know the lady that wroted all about Peter Rabbit used to live in the 'Lake District' which be very near to where I lives now and also to where I lived before with Daddy.

Mum had lots of her books when she was a pup. We would also like to send some pup else a treat to go with their magnet, so whilst we is waiting for the magnets to be made we will do a 'hat draw' I not know what one of those is but mum say it will help us pick one to send a treat to. If you's want to keep saying famous rabbit dogs until then we will put you in the hat as well, you can get a prize and maybe a magnet too. I not really know what a hat got to do with anything though.


Oh yes! We almost got snow today! But it be something a bit different called hail stone. I was so excited to see it I had to do zoomies all over the place. Here I is mid zoom! I be fast fast! You can not see them snow things in the piccure though.

Smile ... and a little competition

Hurro Everypup! Todays sunnyday post is called 'smile' Here be me doing my bestest smile. Because it be miserable and gloomy mum say it be very important to remember to do things that make us smile.

There been a lot of sad things lately with Zoe and Destiny going to rainbow bridge. Mum say there is lots of sad things happening in the people world too.

Something that make mum smile lots be rabbits. I thinks you all know that I is also a Shetland rabbit-dog kind of dog, I learnt this when I seed some sheeps.


I has 7 brother and sister rabbit dogs, even though I only lives with 2 now cos the others still be living with old Daddy. I and Mum misses them very much and something that make Mum feel happy is to help other poor rabbit dogs that not have a home. Rabbit-dogs don't get the same attentions that dogs do a lot of the times and some of them is living very unhappy. Mum knows a people who is making up some great nice things to do helpings (called fund raisings) of a rabbit-dog rescue called Fat Fluffs.

So to help spread some smiles Mum is going to get some of these cool things to give to some of my big dog friends and hop-ing-ly (gettit?) make you all smile too!

These magnets is totally pawsome, they stick on things! BOL! Although these has piccures of rabbit-dogs on them you can have any piccure you like at all. A magnet of you! Or you can has a keyring instead, they your person can take it everywhere with them.

Bored bored bored.

I is having to be naughty again cos I is bored bored bored. It been horrid windy rainy here. So the peoples does not want to go outside, only quick. Their furs they take on and off must not be good enough. Plus mum says I has become a teenager, I has beed trying to attack my bed but it just too tough! We has been playing lots of games indoors, trying to teach Penny stuffs and other thing but I still pretty bored. I is not allowed on the chairs anymore either cos I tooked Grandpaws cake. BOL! It sure was worth it!

Penny almost played with me a little bit. Penny not really like toys, but she get one when the peoples go out and come back in again. I try to play with her, but she always tattle on me to mum and say I is taking her toy. Normally I not mind, but today she got my toy!

See her silly eyes looking at mum to say help? I is strong enough to take my toy back off Penny I thinks, but she do have a bit of a strong grip... I is not gonna say that I lost, cos I is a boy after all but Mum is making me show you this piccure.

I only let her win cos she my Auntie.

I been playing lots with my toys lately, Mum say she is making me be tidy and she has gone and putted them all in a box. Well at first I thought this be a bad idea and kept taking them out, but then I thought it fun to take them out and mum put them back BOL! Also they is all handy for when I wants them. The box be much fun too!

I glad you all like my cowspot frisbee I might has to call is Reilly BOL! Mum say I pick it up funny by the inside not the outside.

Mum made us some treats and we been using them to teach Penny how to come to the whistle like I does. They is salmon burgers, cos Grandad has some salmon from a tin and mum used the left overs. Mum say you just squish up all the salmon then mix in about 50g of flour and some vegetable oil, or the oil from the salmon tin.


Step 1, mix altogether; step 2, roll into balls and press down; step 3, cook for about 15 mins.

Now the most important step...

Eating!!
They smell so yummy and are hard on the outside and soft in the middle. Mum hopes they will be good for Penny. Penny is on a diet so can't have treats but mum hopes these be ok as they is healthy and fish is supposed to be good for older pups and peoples. Penny is all wet from a bath. I didn't get one, Huruffruff!!

Wordless wednesday

Tricky T-days

Mum has decided that it would be a good idea to start a new thing. She cannot choose what to call it so for now it be called 'Tricky T-days'. What we is going to do is use days of the week that begin with T's to show what training and tricks we is working on. We thought of tuesday since I will be going to school on mondays. We likes to do trainings and mum say it stop me going round annoying grandpawents and Penny. BOL!

So for our first 'Tricky T-day' mum said we should update on some old things I had learned and posted about.
First is wipe your feet here is when I first learned it. Way back when I was very little and still had a Daddy about. Here below be it put into practice. BOL! I loves to wipe my feet on the towel.



Next be 'Where's tiny teddy' Where I was learning the names of my stuffs. Here it be again, but a bit harder.

( Update! Mum has just noticed on Tibby's blog that she already does a pawsome trick tuesday and thursday. She had forgot she already did one, as we has not long been visiting his blog. His is very different to ours because Tibby teaches you a new trick and we is just showing you how our trainings is going.. But we wanted to say sorry to Tibby if she thinks we is stepping on his paws. :) There is not really many other names you can give a trick day, we can'ts think of any, but if any of our friends can think of a good name please bark it at me as we would like Tibby's name to stay unique! )

Hello everyone, Dee (Ludo's mum) here.
I thought I'd speak for a bit to tell you what we're doing with the tricks. I know some people will think Ludo's a bit young to be learning different tricks but I am home all day with him so we get time to fit in little bits of training here and there and also get plenty of play and sleep. ;) I hope Ludo enjoys his trick training, he does seem to and is very clever, so it gives him something to think about. If I can get my head around video editing a bit better I'll try and make one showing the things he can do so far. :)

So, for the first 't' day we're learning cross paws, inspired by Obay shelties little girl pups looking so sweet and some of our other friends that are learning it. I'm doing it on the bed as Ludo's very bouncy and on the floor was pouncing a bit too much and although he was still using his left paw he would scooch over to touch the target rather than cross his paws. haha!

I'm using the lid from a jar of barker and barker treats. He already knows the word tap to touch something with his paw, so I decided to use that first until he gets what I want him to do. I've then started saying cross paws. Hopefully I'll be able to take the target away over the next few sessions and then progress to the dreaded floor. :D

For 'Are you shy/hide' I'd read in lots of places to put tape or some sort of rubber band type thing on the dogs muzzle. Ludo was not impressed with having tape stuck to him at all and ended up with parcel tape everywhere. It doesn't stick to him for some reason. So I then had the idea to use a hair clip, which is working quite well. :)

Well... I can certainly ramble can't I? No wonder Ludo wont let me talk more often. I hope you all enjoy watching Ludo's progress during 'tricky t days' and any tips would be great. :) Ooh, and please excuse my insanely high pitched voice in some of the videos!

Another dog!

Mum has adopted another dog and she has not told me about him and got my permissions!!
I has been barking at him to make him go away, but he just copy me. He has not come into the house properly yet so he must be ascared of me. He live behind these funny door thingys what is in the house and sometime I see him in the fireplace. I only just seed him there but I not sure how long he has been about.

Funny thing is he look just like me!



If anypup know how to get rid of him let me know ok?

In other news there nothing much to report about school. It be good at first to do sniffings at other dogs and I does like spending time with mum and making her happy by being good. But thing is this new school does not care that I went to my other school and is making us start all the way back to the begining with the little puppies and other dogs that not been to school before and so it pretty boring for me and mum cos the stuff is very easy for us. If you looks on training you can see me at my old school. Mostly we practiced giving treats and doing 'watch' which I know as look. Mum says we just have to keep on going and hope they let us into the next class a bit early. Still at least I be the best dog there. BOL!

A lazy Sunnyday

As usual Sunnyday has not been sunny at all, it been windy and rainy and dark. I has been having a lazy day today, after all my mischief. Mum says she hopes I is not taking it in turns cos we is starting a new school tomorrow and she wants me to be extra special good.

Naughty?

Mummy says I been having a naughty day today. I waked her up by lying on her head. Then I been wanting to go in out in out all day long and making awoowoo's if I is ignored.

Though mum is only pretend angry about that cos she never liked Grandma's pretend flowers either. I chewed up some of my toys and some papers and some other stuffs too!

I been pestering Penny and making her annoyed. Been jumping all around and doing zoomies. I stealed lots of stuffs. I chewed up cardboard after Mum had done the hoovering. Mum say she would not mind but she been playing with me lots and lots today and doing trainings. I also wented out the gate that Faline got out of yesterday and did not come back indoors like I is supposed to, Mum had to come out and chase me about! BOL! They should fix the gate.

I can not be helping being naughty. I has just felt all squirmy all day and not know how to get rid of it. Mum says I can blame the windy day if I like as long as I is good again tomorrow. Think I'll go sleep now.

Waking up Mum

Mum was beeing too lazy today. She always go back to bed after I has woked her up for go wizz and breakfast but today she was sleepingsleeping and being no fun at all. She not wake up when I lick her ear, or say woowoo at her. So I wented and gots a toy.

Who wouldn't want to wake up to this very close to your face every morning?


She did play a bit, but I had to put my toy right in her hand, then she threwed it on the floor and I chased and gotted it then putted it back in her hand. Bestly of all is this toy is one that go EEEeeee!eeeee!Eeeee! when it dropped on the floor. So it especially annoying to Mummies. BOL!

Now as for them horspitals, being as I is a puppy I can not be thinking about things for too long, I was very scared of the horspital for a while. I even been considering posting myself to go live with my friend Carlton to protect me.


But you has all made me feel lots better. Dawn thinks that Horspitals be extinct. So that be ok. The other kind what is called horses do seem pretty scary from what you all says, but if they behind fences it not too bad. I think I will keep careful watch incase they comes and maybe do what Essex and Deacon says and get the rabbit-dogs to come out on walks with me.

Faline was very badbadbad today and comed outside where she not be allowed to go. We see her when we comed back from our walk. Mum was very scared she would have something bad happen to her, but it ok, cos mum picked her up and putted her back. Mum feel very angry at herself cos she not shut the gate properly and that how Faline got out. I think she should not get any yummy carrits for a whole long time for being bads.

Horspitals

I is very confused about these horspital thingies. I not know anymore if it a big type of doggy, a building what people go to, or something in between.

I staying in hiding until I sure it gone and wont come to the beach again. You should all be careful too!

Beach time

It been too cold for Mummy to want to come to the beach with me this week, but today she got some new boots from the letter man so off we went. I not know why she need them. I get my feets wet all the time and I ok.

It be a very pretty day. The sun was sunny. The sky was shiney and the beach had lots of good sniffings! Plus mum tooked some beef out with her so I got treats!


I found two things that needed a really good good sniffing. Firstly someone had builded a strange thing with beach stuffs. I think it was alines what come from the sky. Next was a kind of animal sniffings. Mum said it was horses, someone had been riding them on the beach. I not know what a horses is, but remember my friend Carlton's mamma had to go to a horsepital what was some kind of building.



I also met a friend. We did not play, just had a little chat. She be more interested in my Mummy and her food than in me.


Then me and Mum did fun runnings around. I loves to run around with Mum on the beach. Silly her forgot to bring any toys. She bringed my clicker instead! I wented in the water a little too. I is getting much braver than I used to be.




Mum got confused cos she was waving her arm about to tell me to go run and play but I was doing 'spin' that cos she was doing the action what means spin. Mum sure can be a silly head sometime. So then we did some 'heel', ready for when I start school again soon. I was doing all my trainings perfect until mum got the camera out and then I started being silly and doing barkings. I love doing barkings! BOL!

New year

Today it is a new year. I not know why. It feel just the same, the only different thing was Mummy and Grandpaw wented out to something called 'the pub' and came back late. They had some funny plastic thingies and they stood with Grandma (who was poorly sick and so could not go to 'the pub') and they all looked at the where's the remote and did countings and then the little plastic things went POP! Very loud, but I not scared, cos out of them came lovely papers!


I be learning lots from my blog friends and some of them has made New years resolutions. Which be things what you want to happen in the brand new year. My new years resolutions be this:

1: Make Penny and the rabbit dogs play with me more.
2: Go outside for walks 6 times a day
3: Get more cuddles. Be more determined if I is told no. It not my fault my nose is cold and wet.
4: Get better at catch
5: Eat more treats.

I think they is good ones. Mum has made some for me too, hers is stupid.
1: Stop barking everytime the neighbours go in or out, or you hear Penny bark.
2: Stop being a hoover for crumbs
3: Find a different way to wake me up in the morning, your new way of sitting on my chest and pushing your nose into my face is not appreciated.
4: Be nicer to Penny
